Long Ashton Coronavirus Support Network

The Long Ashton Coronavirus Support Network (LACOVID Network) came into being after local resident Kate Bolton posted the idea on social media and was overwhelmed by offers of support.
Over a very short period of time, the organisation has evolved and is now fully supported and partially funded by the Long Ashton Parish Council. We currently have over 150 volunteers working with us and more are coming forward every day.
The Network operates under the governance of a steering group that includes members of the Network, Parish Councillors and representatives of North Somerset Council. We are in the process of setting up the LACOVID network as a social enterprise.
We have already posted small flyers through most of our residents’ doors to let you know that we are here to help. The name and telephone number of your street volunteer was given on this flyer. They are happy for you to call them if there's anything you're concerned about. If you don't know who your street volunteer is and/or have mislaid their number, please call us.

Information Booklet

Every Long Ashton household will soon receive a printed Information Booklet. The booklet was produced to ensure that all our residents receive information about the LACOVID Network, especially those who do not use the Internet. The Information Booklet gives the same information as this website, but you'll also find more details about local businesses and other support services here.

Our Fantastic Community

The overwhelming response that has already been provided by Long Ashton residents reinforces what we already knew:
Long Ashton is a great place to live and has a fantastic community spirit. Together we can build on this and come out of this crisis as a stronger and more supportive community.
Keep well and safe and we look forward to celebrating what our community has achieved after this crisis is over.
