Data Protection for Service Users

In order to provide services to you, and to be able to ensure that we can quickly hand over jobs that are ongoing if one of our volunteers becomes ill or needs to self-isolate, we have to request and store personal data.
The personal data that we need is limited to the resident’s name, address, phone number and a contact email address if one is available.
We will ensure that all such data is stored securely in accordance with the relevant legislation and we will never provide the data to a third party except those involved in this community effort.
By requesting our help in any of the areas highlighted on the website, we will assume that you agree to your data being stored for this purpose.

Data Protection for Volunteers

When you complete the Volunteer Sign-Up form, the data collected will be used to improve the LACOVID Network's volunteer organisation and communication.
The form requires you to supply your name, contact details and two forms of identification: (1) a copy of your passport OR driving licence AND (2) a copy of a bank statement OR utility bill dated within the last 3 months. Once your identity has been verified, the two forms of identification will be destroyed. The remaining information will be kept by LACOVID Network until the emergency (both response and recovery phases) is over and will then be disposed of in accordance with our data retention policy.
We respect your privacy, and therefore will never sell or share this data with any third parties. You have the right to ask us to stop processing this data at any time. Email us if you have any questions or change your mind.
